Since 1983, the Poly Prep Alumni Association has presented Alumni Awards to graduates who have brought honor to themselves in one of three categories: distinguished achievements in their respective fields, service to Poly Prep, and support of our Alma Mater. Eligibility for consideration begins after the twenty-fifth year of graduation from Poly.
The Alumni Awards are presented by the Board of Governors during the Alumni Association Annual Meeting each year on Reunion Day to alumni who embody the inspirational qualities to lead, succeed, and serve their community.
Congratulations to all the recipients of the Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Achievement.

SPIRIT AWARD
The Spirit Award is bestowed on a member of the faculty or staff who embodies the values and spirit of Poly. The awardee, who has worked at Poly for at least five years, is notable for how they encourage students to be the best they can be and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. They are someone who, in their enthusiasm and concern for the Poly community, goes above and beyond what is expected in their individual role at Poly to make a difference in our school community.
Each spring, the Alumni Association Board of Governors solicits nominations from alumni, current and former faculty, and students of the current senior class and the award is presented at Homecoming in the fall.
In 2024, the Board of Governors announced a new tradition: selecting Spirit Award recipients from both the Park Slope and Dyker Heights campuses.
2024
This year’s recipients are Assistant to the Head of Lower School Pat Harrigan P’01 and Middle School history teacher Caesar Fabella. The awards will be presented at Homecoming on October 19, 2024.
